Elementary Academic Achievement in the Rockwood Community
For generations, students served by public schools in the Rockwood Community have underperformed on academic tests relative to peers in more affluent parts of our region.
While it's tragic to see the disastrous state of student achievement in our community, we take pride in the comparably strong (and continuously improving) academic performance of RPA students on academic assessments.
It is not RPA's intention to draw negative attention to the academic shortcomings of other public elementary schools serving Rockwood neighborhoods. Indeed, RPA still has a long way to go and we are all in this together! That being said, it is the heart of our mission to acknowledge and aggressively address this imbalance.

STAR Reading & Math Assessments
